Debug Error:[Exception... "Node was not found" ...
Issue
I have another kind of problem with Firefox
Description
Whenever I use google to search on the web, a popup box appears with this message: "Debug Error:[Exception... "Node was not found" code: "8" nsresult: "0x80530008 (NS_ERROR_DOM_NOT_FOUND_ERR)" location: "chrome://ffamazonhot/content/lib/Extension.debug.js Line: 366"]" I have to go to task manager and stop all programs to get firefox to come back up and work again. What do I do?

Same problem
Same error message using Firefox for the Mac. Went back to a previous version of Firefox 3.5.9, now my browser is working fine.
Same here, I can go to IE and search Google and to Dogpile to search just fine, any help out there with what to do about this aside from having to install and older version of Firefox?
Yep, same here, running XP SP3
I saw in a couple of other forums that the fix to this is to uninstall the Amazon Button add-on. I did that, and have not had the debug error since then.
In Firefox go to Tools>Add-ons, and highlight the Amazon Button add-on in the list. Select "Uninstall". Disabling will not fix the problem. Then you'll have to reboot for the change to take effect. This has worked for me. Good luck.
Thank you, Silkworm - this has been driving me mad for days, and you've solved the problem!
My problem was the EBay button add-on.
