Every time my website's page is rendered Firefox changes all the relative image URL paths, for example: from background="images/header_main900_cr.jpg" to ="http://2.1.1.4/www.quadgardenroute.co.za/images/header_main900_cr.jpg">.

The text added varies between http://2.1.1.1, http://2.1.1.2, http://2.1.1.3 and http://2.1.1.4 + "domain URL"

Do I need to change to absolute paths? This surely cannot be right?

I yes I forgot to mention, the reason I post this is my web page did not load and was stopping on status: "waiting for 2.1.1.1" and timed out most of the time and only a fraction of the webpage was displayed.

The pages are loading fine now, but how do I know it won't happen again? I just happen to check the page and found my webpage having this problem in FF, I thought I was hacked at first?!

Sounds that you had some kind of proxy active that has changed the URLs.

Trying to leech Christina Hendricks pics.

When logging into Nagios system monitoring, I am asked to authenticate to one of these random IPs (http://2.1.1.1 - http://2.1.1.4) I did not enter my authentication details for obvious reasons. Upon loding, I was missing most images that are normally loaded. On investigation, I found this post.

Same thing here - it works fine in MS Explorer and Opera, it's just Firefox that changes the urls of the images. But for me, it's only on one specific URL.

Strange ...

I jsut cleared my browser cache, and that fixed the problem for me - you might want to try it out.
