my homepage does not retain the personalized settings after I log out of firefox
i use shaw for my homepage and set personalized settings. Every time i close firefox and then reopen, my setting are lost. It works this way for any homepage I try and personalize ie Google

Such details are stored in a cookie.
- You must allow that cookie (Tools > Options > Privacy > Cookies: Exceptions), especially for secure websites and if you let cookies expire when Firefox closes
- Make sure that you do not use Delete browsing, search and download history on Firefox to clear the "Cookies" and the "Site Preferences"
