Flash IS updated, but every Firefox upgrade instructs me to upgrade it. Why?
This version is Ffox 3.6.10. Probably ALL iterations of 3.6 have acted as though Flash Player were previous to 10.1.
Is there a way I can confirm that FF sees the already installed version of Flash Player?

Your list of plugins shows Shockwave Flash 10.1 r53, the latest version is 10.1 r82. You can get it from http://www.adobe.com/support/flashplayer/downloads.html
You can check your list of installed plugins by opening the add-ons manager (it's on the tools menu) and selecting the plugins panel.
