I was informed about a FIREFOX update (v 3.6.12) I answered yes but forgot that I was into a limited account under Win XP. So the update failed. Normal ! I switched to an administrative account and updated correctly Firefox. But now, each time I open Firefox in the limited account I get a message saying that the update failed... How can I get ride of it without re-installing Firefox. Thanks MC

Remove the files in the updates and updates\0 folder:

C:\Documents and Settings\<user>\Local Settings\Application Data\Mozilla\Firefox\Mozilla Firefox\updates
(%USERPROFILE%\Local Settings\Application Data\Mozilla\Firefox\Mozilla Firefox\updates)
