If I put a search in the address bar I get a message that the url is invalis

this just started about qa week ago... When I put in a word in the address bar to search it I get a pop up that says the url is not valid and will not search for anything.. I usually just put in a word or two and it works. It says Yahoo.com in the address bar but when I say search it disappears.., Also at the same time I started getting bing showing up as the search engine on both Mozilla nd Explorer... I was finally able to get Bing off the Mozilla but it willnot leave the Explorer and just defaults to it. Where it says remove bing on the explorer it will not remove .

Start Firefox in Diagnose Firefox issues using Troubleshoot Mode to check if one of the add-ons is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Tools > Add-ons > Themes).

  • Don't make any changes on the Safe mode start window.
