I recently upgraded to FF 4.0. After the upgrade to 4.0 my Norton tool bar dose not appear like it did with previous versions of FF. Therefore I can't use my Norton Identity Safe. I spoke to Norton about this and they said that it would be another month or more before that problem would be resolved. I wounder if it is possible to return to FF 3.6 until this problem is resolved, or am I stuck entering all my user names and passwords by typing them in by hand for every secure web site I visit?

You can get Firefox 3.6.16 here.

There is really no good reason for Norton not to have their Toolbar extensions ready for Firefox 4.0. The extensions API for Firefox 4.0 was locked down over 5 months ago so that security vendors could start working on updating their products for the release of Firefox 4.0. Symantec / Norton pulls this crap of waiting until the last minute for every Firefox major release (like they're surprised by the release of a new version - there are no secrets with open source software), inconveniencing their paying customers by making them wait a month or two while they get their shet together.

IMO, Norton doesn't deserve your business. There are better security programs out there that are free for personal use, so why pay Norton for their indifference when it comes to the most popular web browser getting updated?
