Firefox 4 is set to open to my homepage when I open it, but it is opening to my last page I had open every time I re-open FF. My setting under options is correct ('Open to homepage'), any suggestions?

That does not help - I know how to set my homepage, my problem is that it isn't opening to my homepage when I start FF, even though I have it set correctly.

Try doing this which will set you homepage to Google.

  1. In the Location bar, type about:config and hit Enter
  2. In the filter at the top, type keyword.URL
  3. Double click it and replace the current setting with http://www.google.com/search?q= (it has to entered exactly as you see it written here)

Since it's a URL, you can right click the link and choose "Copy Link Location" to copy it to the Windows clipboard. Then hit CTRL+V to paste it. Saves you having to type it when you go to change the setting.

Then go to File | Exit.

Finally, restart Firefox and see if the problem has been resolved or not.

If it has, repeat the same steps, but substitute the Google URL for your desired homepage.

You must be using Firefox Preloader, which clashes with FF4. Here is a comment on this issue.
