When I want to download anything even pdf's it automatically converts it to a word document, so I cannot even see the documents, pictures, forms or anything. Thank you

When downloading anything Firefox downloads it as a word document causing the document to appear as letter and numbers without sense. Firefox has done it for all documents that as pdf's are in a site, so I can not save them or downloaded, but not even read them.

Try this to see if it helps:

Tools > Options > Applications and set the appropriate programs for each type.

Thank you, but it does not bring any options for downloads. I even couldn't download Adobe Reader. It converts it into a word document.

When you click "download", did it give you an option to "save" or "open" the document?

yes, it always ask me if I want to "save" or "open" I have done both with same results...word opens and a document with weird fonts appear and it asks me if I want a different language.

It's probably because you said you couldn't download Adobe Reader. When you tried to download it, what did happen?

When downloaded Adobe reader, a Fire Fox down loader window appeared and after several minutes a message said that it was downloaded, but a run window never appeared, so I clicked on the program (on that little fire fox downloader window) and it opened a word document with encoded letter. AGAIN!

Just curious, you did go to Adobe website to download Reader, right?

In regards to last question, (2 days ago) If I went to Adobe website to download Reader, yes I did. but same thing happen. word opens and open an encoded document and ask me if I want a different language
