Why does Firfox not allow me to stay signed in to igoogle any more?
I use igoogle as my homepage and always leave the stay signed in box ticked. Now I find that every time I start Firefox I have to sign in to get my personal igoogle page to appear as my homepage. This did not use to happen and is very annoying, especially as I have no problem with Internet Explorer. If there is no answer I will no longer be using Firefox, although I like it this is a nuisance.

Have you got Firefox configured to clear history on shutdown by any chance?
Check by clicking the Firefox button, go to Options | Options | Privacy. You'll find a setting in there called "Clear history when Firefox closes".
- Such details are stored in a cookie.
- Create an allow cookie exception (Tools > Options > Privacy > Cookies: Exceptions) to keep such a cookie, especially for secure websites and if cookies expire when Firefox is closed.
- In Private Browsing - Use Firefox without saving history mode all cookies are session cookies that expire if that session is ended, so websites won't remember you.
- Do not use Delete browsing, search and download history on Firefox to clear the "Cookies" and the "Site Preferences"
Clearing "Site Preferences" clears all exceptions for cookies, images, pop-up windows, software installation, and passwords.
So explain. Is the box supposed to be checked or not?
Do you mean the box on the Google log on page?
Did you confirm that you keep the Google cookies and that they are not removed and still there the next time you start Firefox?
