my whole bookmarks toolbar and my saved bookmarks disappeared. restore says unable to restore
I am on imac 24 using Firefox 4.02 I have hundreds of bookmarked websites for research. Al of a sudden there are none in drop down menu and my whole bookmarks tool bar is gone. I tried restore. Said unable. What happened?

A possible cause is a problem with the file places.sqlite that stores the bookmarks and the history.
