I don't have a "firefox button" showing at the top of my screen, so I can't follow the procedure for getting my bookmarks back!

God, I hate computers!
If the orange Firefox button doesn't show, use the Bookmarks menu item on the Menu Bar to access Show All Bookmarks. That orange Firefox button only appears when the Menu Bar is hidden.
