I can't select the option to "Import" under the File menu because it is greyed out, therefore I am unable to import bookmarks.
I wish to import bookmarks from another browser, but I'm unable to do so because it will not allow me to select the "Import" command under the "File" menu. I'm using Firefox 3.6.13 with Mac OSX 10.6.8. How can this be resolved?

Make sure that you do not run Firefox in permanent Private Browsing mode.

- You enter Private Browsing mode if you select: Firefox > Preferences > Privacy > History: Firefox will: "Never Remember History"
- To see all History and Cookie settings, choose: Firefox > Preferences > Privacy, choose the setting Firefox will: Use custom settings for history
- Deselect: [ ] "Permanent Private Browsing mode"
