Until yesterday evening Firefox opened OK, no problem. From yesterday evening Firefox crashes on start-up. I cannot even open it up in safe mode to see if it crashes then.

I had the same problem. I was told that Rapport was causing my start-up crashes. Apparently there is a known problem with Rapport and Firefox.

Before I got the message about Rapport I created a new profile in Firefox and moved data across from the old profile until I got it to crash. Details of how to do this are on the web. You will have to use Internet Exployer to acccess it. http://kb.mozillazine.org/Creating_a_new_Firefox_profile_on_Windows

It was the Add-in files that caused it to crash so maybe Rapport was the culprit. I have uninstalled Rapport and downloaded the latest version and installed that. I was then unable to open a webpage from a URL in emails so had to reinstall Firefox 7 again. Now everything is OK.

Hope this helps you.

Hi Shirley29, Thanks for your reply. I tried stopping Rapport and then re-loaded Firefox. This worked so you were right and the problem was with Rapport. Re-started Rapport and everything now works. Many thanks.
