How can I download and save a file attached to email directly into MS word/documents.

It seems so redundant to save it, find it in downloads and then open and save again!

When you click on a link to a Word document, does Firefox prompt you choose an action? (example: "Save File" or "Open With")?

If not, open your Firefox options page (Firefox menu ->Options -> options). From there, select Applications. In the search box that shows up, type in 'doc'.

After a few seconds, you should see an entry listed in the window below named "Microsoft Word 2010 Document" or something like that. On the right side of the window, change the action from Save File to Always Ask. (Clicking on Save File should make a drop-down menu appear)

Click OK at the bottom of the window when you are done. Changes should take effect immediately.

Thanks, Whizz
