For the last 2 days while surfing via FF, a new tab will randomly open and redirect to various company's websites/stores.

I've run a virus and malware scan, any issues have been dealt with but this is still happening. I'm on an older verison of FF but don't really want to upgrade.

Has anyone had this issue before? Or a suggestion on how I can block displayadfeed.com?

This addon blocks particular sites.

It works very effectively, and (if you set it to be) its pretty subtle.

Tried that myself but unfortunately no luck, displayadfeed is still popping up every half hour or so. It's infuriating.

Looks like malware? Try running a scan with MalwareBytes.

If you think about it, a simple glitch/incompatibility will not just open up ads- Its someone trying to make money out of you. did you install any programs recently that could be doing it? (Ie Freeware, Shareware)

I downloaded and ran MalwareBytes this morning and the 2 items it thought threatening were removed. The only thing I've gone recently what have a new graphics card and new DVD writer installed- and that was before the holidays. I've not used it over the Christmas period, and came home to it doing this. Will try another scan.
