Please put about:support in your navigation toolbar. There you will find troubleshooting information and a button named "Show Folder".

In Ferdinand reply you can see the profile folder open if you click the above button.

Thanks for your replies, but I'm still unsure which profile to backup, the one in local folder or the one in roaming folder, both in Windows Explorer. All your replies and links seem to suggest roaming.

Sorry but I'm only allowed ONE "solved" but you all have helped so I'm a bit distressed what to do now. When I get distressed I have Epilepsy Seizures

The one in roaming is the main profile folder.

• C:\Users\<user>\AppData\Roaming\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\<profile>\

The other in local is used for storing the cache and doesn't need to be backed up.
