How do I keep my download history?
Okay, I changed the settings for my browsing and download history and now the downloads window is blank every time I open Firefox. I am sad. Since I found an article several days ago explaining that was the only place to keep my history and now I have destroyed it. Months of download history. Well, anyway I would like to know if there is a way to have Firefox transfer my download history from download.sqlite to a txt file on a schedule I decide so that this won`t happen again. I use my download history all the time and really miss it not working correctly.
So how can I get the download window to start showing my download history and can you add an option to save history to a text file of some kind.

I think that you should still have previous download history if you only disabled the history unless you cleared the history via Clear (Recent) History.
You can also check if there is a Downloads folder in the Bookmarks/History Manager.
Okay, Thanks for your help guys but it appears I lost my history part of the database. Oh well. Even when I restored an image from a point before I was having this problem and Firefox wasn`t yet opened and I had my history file intact I no longer have a download history when I open Firefox. FF was doing this before I upgraded last time and I had thought it was my fault but maybe now I think it isn`t. I will try the addon mentioned in some of the links you gave me. That information definitely may help and I appreciate it. Anyway thanks again, it is always good to know there is someone at the other end of the line you know?
