My Real downloader has not worked for some time. Any help? Thanks.

Real player still plays OK, the Real downloader for downloading web videos (Youtube, APOD, any web site) will not download the video. Something stops working after every firefox update. Going back to MSIE until this is fixed.

Could you tell exactly, whats happen when you use the real player
When it worked, I put the cursor over the video and it prompted if I wanted to download. Now that does not happen.
Real downloader stopped working with firefox after the last update. I am returning to MSIE or Google Chrome until this issue is fixed. It seems that after every update, something in firefox stops working. Oh well, we get what we pay for.

I am also waiting for this to be fixed. It went before the latest upgrade, now several other things have gone wrong as well with the new upgrade. I liked Firefox but am really fed up with so much going wrong every time. It doesn't even ask me to accept the upgrade any more either. At least before I had the chance to save everything first to stop it losing all my bookmarks again. Why does Firefox not fix this vitally important issue?
Sorry for your problems, but Real Player downloader is a 3rd party application and the developer of that application is responsible for keeping it up-to-date with Firefox updates, fixing it when there are problems with it, and also for supporting their stuff.
Well a little while back they said they were working on it, but Firefox has since updated again, and there is still no solution. I have to find what I want on Firefox, then go to Explorer ( it doesn't work on Netscape or Safari either unfortunately), disable Adobe Flash and then go to the right page and download. Really tedious. And I have just had to restore my skin thanks to Firefox which took ages as it was somehow locked, and the new tab page is now blank. I tried dragging them back from bookmarks as per the FAQs but all that does is open that dragged over webpage. Not happy, I have wasted hours on 'fixing' what wasn't broken before! I used to praise Firefox to everyone and at work after much of my grumbliing they came round in computing and started making it the primary browser. They are not so happy now either.
I have the same problem and am really annoyed as RP Downloader links in with other stuff I have. Happily opperating Firefox for years but looks like there is nothing I can do about it so I'm returning to GoogleChrome, usually my back up only.
Solved the whole Real Player-Firefox issues. Simply go your control panel, select "Programs", under "Default Programs" click on "Change default settings for media or devices". Find Video Files and choose Real Player logo to Import Music, Video and Pictures using Real Player. Click "Save" at the bottom of the window, then closeout and restart Firefox. You should see the "Download this Video" icon in YouTube videos once again and download at will. One caveat, it seems to work great on amateur videos and the like. I had an issue downloading some music videos. It's kind of hit or miss, you will have to keep trying to download a video if it doesn't work initially. I noticed that it downloads videos as a .dash file and then Real Player downloader will convert the file to mp4 or whatever format you have it set to in your preferences. These directions are for Windows 7, you will have to find the equivalent control panel options for other Windows OS. Good luck!
I will keep this in case FIrefox mess up again sometime. Fortunately RealPlayer sent down an update a few days ago fixing the changes in MPEG 4 Dash that were stopping the downloads in Firefox. They now work a treat.
I'm using several different addons in firefox and i frequently use it to check moz ranking pa da etc..
since last night whenever i'm trying to navigate to my website which is : http://realplayerdownloader.co
nothing happens and it says the page cannot be displayed ( Too many loops)
While its working fine in all other major browsers like chrome and I.E.
i'd have used those browsers but i'm used to mozilla and feel safe with the addons i use with firefox, Chrome belongs to google and its like a red alarm for me on the other hand IE does not support the advanced extended addons like firefox.
Just to make you sure :
All my host settings are OK and they are intact.
Sometime it shows the admin panel but totally unorganized.. ( using Wordpress )
Any help is appreciated!
Update : Resolved it myself, it was one of my plugins that was creating a problem :)
Plugin Name : GD Star
Thanks anyway
