1.) Is there a phone number to call thunderbird customer support ? 2.) I would like to backup all my e mails and contacts, settings etc. of my thunderbird app. but there is no backup and restore feature in the app to do this. This is important in case of a pc hardware failure where I would be forced to migrate to a new PC ! 3.) I tried Mozbackup and it is not working.

Where is the Thunderbird backup tool? Should be under the menu <files> or <tools> but it is not. I use Linux ubuntu, I could back the files if there was a tool allowing me to change the location of thunderbird files. Where are they?

Humberto, backing up your Thunderbird profile is as simple as copying the profile folder to a safe place.

I don't understand your problem 'change the location of thunderbird files'.

Albert5, check the MozBackup support page for help with MozBackup.

Otherwise the easiest way to backup your profile is to copy the Thunderbird profile folder to a safe place.
