Thunderbird version: 24.5.0

When I press delete key, or click 'delete' button, nothing happens. I must click right mouse button on the mail, select 'move to -> local directory -> trash' to delete it.

then you may need to create a new trash folder. In Thunderbird, right-click on your account's name and select "New folder". Name it "Trash" and it should works again.

Please confirm if it fix your problem.

Hi,

I am afraid that your are seing Bug 784267 - cannot delete mail with keyboard or delete button.

Unfortunately, we do not really have a good understanding of the issue :-(

I have the same problem.

I think that it could be a conflict with Win 8.1 update.

Could you clarify if you use a POP or an Imap account?
