DWP installer dowloaded by firefox ? is this spam ?

I keep getting a box popping up on my screen stating DWPinstaller is an application dowloaded from the internet . Are you sure you want to open it ? " A little DIVX type media player then shows up on my bar bouncing up and down . I have looked in my apps and trashed this installer but still the message keeps showing up . What is it ? Is it legit ? Spam ?

Could you investigate whether this is caused by a DivX-related add-on?

Open Firefox's Add-ons page using either:

  • Command+Shift+a
  • "3-bar" menu button (or Tools menu) > Add-ons

In the left column, click Plugins. Try setting DivX-related plugins to "Never Activate".

In the left column, click Extensions. Try disabling DivX-related extensions.

Often a link will appear above at least one disabled extension to restart Firefox. You can complete your work on the tab and click one of the links as the last step.
