emails open in new window without reply button

When double clicking on a new message it opens in a new window without a reply toolbar. in options, the function to open a message in a new tab is selected but every time a new message is opened it appears in a new window with out a reply button.

Try right clicking on the row of buttons in the message pane and dragging the Reply button from the Customize dialog to the toolbar. This post explains the solution as well: No "reply" option in email Please let us know if this answers your question.

tjohnson2, I have tried that and there is no reply button to drag onto the toolbar. I also tried resetting the toolbar to default with no luck.
