How can I scan for a virus
I just realized I have no anti-virus protection program for Firefox on this personal computer. I have I.E. 9 Browser as well & run scans weekly & have M.S.S.E for protection program. My questions are- do I need an anti-virus protection program for Firefox & where can I find a program that will scan for adware, malware, virus, etc. like Microsoft Security Essentials do for my Internet Explorer 9 Browser?

Basically Microsoft security essentials are able to protect your system from virus and other security holes. And there is no need of separate programs for separate browsers. However you can run any one programs for specifically malware/spyware detection . Few programs are good in this way such as :

Microsoft Security Essentials should work for Firefox as well as it protects the computer and isn't restricted to a specific browser.
