As stated in the title Thunderbird takes longer than usual to download new emails and crashes randomly.

As for antivirus we have windows defender and malwarebytes anti malware premuim.

I have excluded Thunderbird in malwarebyte ( both folder and process)

Sometimes I have to wait 45 minutes for the program to respond again in order to not lose any drafts.

Chosen solution

To get the best performance of Tbird:

Keep your inbox light and compact. Empty trash and junk (spam), compact.

Less (and smaller) folders on server that has to be synced the faster that will go.

Move to local folders, If you don't need to access them from other units. Move attachment outside of mail, keeping a link.

Drafts can be kept on pc.
