I cannot play iTunes trailers. I am running El Capitan. Quicktime 10.4 is installed but there is no QT plugin in Firefox.

An operating system reinstall is not necessary.

The QuickTime plugin is bundled with the program. It is possible that there was an error installing the program. Please try reinstalling QuickTime and ensure that all programs are closed during the installation.
