What are the pros and cons of not backing up .cache/mozilla/firefox/*.default on a linux system?

I'm performing a backup of my home directory on Ubuntu linux. I only want to backup what's necessary. Is it necessary to backup ~/.cache/mozilla/firefox/*.default  ?

Why would you want to backup the cache?

You would normally only backup files in the main profile location in ~/.mozilla/firefox.
