When I am trying to delete emails, it freezes, won't delete or even close. What do I do?

I was deleting emails, when suddenly it quit working. The mouse will highlight the emails to be deleted, but when I put the cursor over the "delete" button nothing happens. Same (non) result with cordless mouse, computer cursor, and touch screen. The program won't minimize or close. All other programs are working.

What is your computer system and Firefox?

Start Firefox in Safe Mode {web Link} by holding down the <Shift>
(Mac=Options)
key, and then starting Firefox. A small dialog should appear. Click Start In Safe Mode (not Refresh).

Is the problem still there?

I have Mozilla, not sure which edition?? Do you mean to start Mozilla with the shift key down, or start the computer with the shift key down, to get to safe mode?

Hold down the shift key, then start Firefox.
