In a Thunderbird email message, how to make a URL address a hotlink?
I copied the URL address from a webpage and pasted it into the body of my Thunderbird email message. I expected it to display as an underlined hotlink that would immediately take one to the website when clicked. Instead, I the URL address displayed as plain text and it did not operate as a hot link. i copied the URL address text in the body of the email and pasted it into the address box of my web browser to prove I got the desired web page. What am I doing wrong?

URLs and email addresses are not active in the Write window. As long as you format them correctly they become active when you send them or save the message to Drafts.
