I don't want to make firefox my default browser. In about:preferences:general, i unchecked the 'check if firefox is your default browser', in 'advanced:update', i checked 'never check for updates' yet I get nagged every time I start firefox.

What do I have to do to make firefox stop nagging me?

It is possible that some Windows Registry keys are linked to Firefox in case Firefox was ever set as the default browser.

Is there any browser set as the default browser?

You may want to disable the Mozilla maintenance service as well to disable updating in the background. Note that Firefox 52.5.2 is the current ESR release and you should use this version if you are on the ESR update channel (Help -> About Firefox) and aren't using the Firefox 52 release which you shouldn't use.

Thank you for the response. I guess it's either pick a default browser or put up with the nagging.

I think I'll it's best to just uninstall it and be done with it.

Thanks!
