When I have a Firefox window open with bookmarks sidebar open, it opens up the new window also with the same sidebar. However, 99% of the time I want the new window WITHOUT the bookmark sidebar (while leaving the original window with the sidebar as is). Is there any way to allow for that? Thank you.

I'm not aware of a way to prevent this. Showing toolbars and showing the sidebar is a global setting and is inherited when you open a new window.
