Hi all, I accidentally deleted my photo in Firefox Account and I'd like to recover it. It's a great photo and I don't have a copy because I just took it directly with my webcam when prompted in the account setup. Does anyone know how to recover it? Thanks :)

Chosen solution

The solution became apparent when I realised that Pocket was still using my old account photo because they presumably had not yet synced my new one.

I asked Pocket support to recover it and they managed to give me a link to it under firefoxusercontent.com.

So, it's a roundabout solution but it works. It would be nice if Firefox Accounts gave us more direct access to the contents of what's stored in our profile (e.g. all the synced info per machine).

Unless the site has a backup once something is deleted it gone. So if the site has no Trashcan option any deleted items are gone.

Is this about an image saved as a Firefox screenshot or something else related to a Firefox account?

Screenshot images saved online expire after some time and aren't guaranteed to last forever. If you click the download button instead of the Save button then the image is saved locally on your computer.

Hi WestEnd and cor-el, Thank you for your replies and trying to help, unfortunately those aren't solutions.

My query is about my Firefox Account (accounts.firefox.com), the account used to sync etc, and the photo that I accidentally cleared from it (the X button is confusing, I thought it meant cancel, it actually means delete photo).

Do you know anyone who works on the Accounts part of Firefox that you can call into this thread?

Cheers :)

If you removed the Account Picture from the Settings page then there is not much that can be done.

The image might be in your disk cache (see about:cache), but then you would have to know what to look for.
