I received an attachment from my boss that referred to "the first column, first 3 photos" for inclusion in an article. When I replied trying to refer to the same photos I could not find a way to attach his attachment as a reference. Do I need to detach and reattach? Some email programs have an option to keep attachments. Thank you to anyone who can help.

The default is to not include attachments in a reply, because it's assumed the original sender already has them. But you can attach the files to your reply by dragging the attachments from the received message and dropping them to the right of the addressing area of the reply message.
