Facebook - Blank Screen??!

more options

Hi there,

So I manage 2 x FB accounts, mine & Mum's (only cos she's not too savvy). My FB loads fine, apps work, games, vids etc. Mum's on the other hand only has a blank screen when I log in. Nothing on her news feed. She can access the apps/games via links to her email address, and once you've opened one app via an email link you can pretty much access the other apps/games, but not go to their actual page (for bonus points etc), This was working perfectly until this morning.

Hate to say this, but it works in Chrome

Boot the computer in Windows Safe mode with network support to see if that has effect in case security software is causing problems.

Do a malware check with several malware scanning programs on the Windows computer.

Please scan with all programs because each program detects different malware. All these programs have free versions.

Make sure you update each program to get the latest version of their databases before doing a scan.

You can also do a check for a rootkit infection with TDSSKiller.

You can check for issues with location storage (indexedDB).

This could be a problem with local storage and possibly running this command in the Web Console to clear storage as posted in bug 1569296 might fix it.

  • localStorage.clear()
