Google is keeping like 50 pipes running AFTER i close chrome and use firefox ... help!
after discovering the windows sysinternalssuite,.. i've noticed google is keeping like 50 or so pipes running in the background, AFTER i've closed chrome,.. but interestingly, WHILE having firefox open - is there any kind of software i can install in firefox to prevent google from doing whatever it is they're doing,.. presumably sending to themselves illegally, what i'm searching for when using firefox!!
this is a quick cut&paste of the pipes active well after chrome's closure,.. i checked in task manager,..
as a result of the pipelist64.exe command's result (the 1st number is the number of instances, the 2nd max-instances)

I don't know what those are for, but Chrome may keep something resident to be able to start up faster. There wasn't anything obvious in Task Manager? On Windows 8+, you may need to use the Details tab to find processes that don't have a visible window.
Um, and also, this really is a question for Google, not Mozilla...
yea i checked that, made sure there were no still-running firefox.exes ... and yes, it could be a Q for Google, but 1 - if they're doing something suspicious, they'd deny knowing anything about it, and 2 - i think i noticed later, that they were only running, WHILE firefox was running.
so my best guess was that they've added something someWHERE,.. *shrugs* in my computer that runs WHILE firefox is running, so that they can see what i'm looking up RE commercial metadata-sales privacy invasion type activities,
i note also, that i have stopped using chrome for the most-part, so might this be? a kind of ... if-someone-stops-using-chrome-we'll-put-these-in-somewhere-where-people-won't-notice-them way, a bit like hidden malware backup locations that have to be searched for when not uninstalling properly,.. or i dunno, maybe worse, like embedded in windows user-configuration files, AS critical files FOR windows, in directories that get checked and RUN everyboot,.. but aren't meant to be used by anyone BUT microsoft?
as in, abusing the trust of windows automatically loaded each boot architecture, for their COMPETITIVE interests, now that i'm almost entirely only using firefox?
that was the kind of suspicion that i thought u guys might be interested in. i think if i worked for firefox, i'd be wanting to know what they are.

Could you test in Firefox's Safe Mode? In its Safe Mode, Firefox temporarily deactivates extensions, hardware acceleration, any userChrome.css/userContent.css files, and some other advanced features to help you assess whether these are causing the problem.
After making sure that no Firefox or Chrome processes are running:
Hold down the Shift key when starting Firefox.
A small dialog should appear. Click "Start in Safe Mode" (not Refresh).
If you browser for a while, do you observe any difference?
