Hello, I have Thunderbird v 91.3.0 installed on Windows 11. When trying to import into a calendar from an .ics file the "Import Calendar Events and Tasks pop-up comes up with a "Loading items..." message and nothing else ever happen. The window is never populated. Hitting the "Import All" button result in the window closing. No import happens.

When trying to import from a .cvs file, the pop-up is populated with - what looks like - all events, but when "Import All" is selected, nothing is imported into the calendar.

Bug or am I missing something?

Thank You, Reed

Some additional info. The .ics file was exported from Thunderbird on a different computer. I was able to import the same files into the Windows calendar - so it's not corrupted.

I was able to get some of a .cvs file to import, but unfortunately it doesn't contain all the events I need.

Thanks.

Is this an ICS file with TODO items? If so, this is a known problem and will be fixed in the upcoming TB 91.3.1.

I'm on Linux (distro MX), and had to install the flatpak to get v91.3.0. I exported a .ics file from my working v68.12.0 Thunderbird, and tried importing it into the new installation. That has the exact same symptoms as described here. Based on christ1's post, I deleted all of the tasks in my working Thunderbird (only had half a dozen old ones because I don't currently use that feature). Then I exported a new .ics file and imported that one, which imported properly and populated the calendar. So that was a workaround for me for the calendar data.

But generally, I could not find a simple way to import everything from v68; the menu import feature didn't recognize the existing TB as an import source. With the extensive changes in the code base, most of the extensions I was using also don't work in v91, so I'm hesitant to start copying folders from the v68 profile. Seems like upgrading to v91 isn't quite ready for prime time.
