I accidentally toggled off the bar at the foot of the browser that shows URLs when you mouseover them, how to get it back??

I'm sure there used to be a function - maybe a bar at bottom left of my firefox browser that showed the URL when I moused-ovr any link. I seem to have toggled it off - I only just noticed its absence - and can't find a way to switch it back on.

I don't have an "X" or Status Bar choice on the popup menu. (under View or anywhere else either)

Are you using a Firefox 4 beta version?

The Status Bar is no longer present in Firefox 4.0 beta versions and replaced by the Add-ons Bar that extensions can use.

You can use the Status-4-Evar extension to replace some functionality.

Yay for Status-4-Evar! It put the mouse-over information on links back where it was before and I am happy. I have been busy fixing all the "improvements" that FF4 made. I'm sure they made someone happy, but it wasn't me.

Still, I was able to put the tabs back where I wanted them, get rid of the "Awesome Bar" and generally get back my look and feel, so I'm not unhappy.

Came here with a similar problem, Status-4-Evar seems to be the solution.

It's more than silly that the FF4 new "addon bar" is just sitting there empty while mousing over a URL keeps popping up little toast tabs in an annoying and flickering way.
