I was using Firefox today to search on google for a map of the middle east, because I was trying to find the proper spelling for the name of a country. Anyhow, when I clicked on the map image, google loaded a page which redirected me to a site with the domain name lazyfirefox .co .cc, which was trying to get me to click links to update firefox, or update flash player (it actually looked a lot like the real page firefox does display sometimes warning that you need to update flash player and firefox).

Is that page legit, or is that someone trying to infect firefox users with some sort of malware? If it is a fraudulent site, you might want to report this to, I dunno, the FBI or someone who can try to get it shutdown?

Edited to de-activate the link - TonyE

It is not legit, it is trying to get you to install some malware. There have been many similar links, when one is closed down another one is created.

The quickest way to get that type of website blocked is to report it yourself.

Oh, thanks - I didn't even know about that feature - it's been in the help menu, just never noticed it. I'll keep that in mind in the future.
