When I click a link to send an email, it automatically opens up my Microsoft Outlook Mail. I want to change the deafualt to use my Gmail

When I am on the internet using the Firefox browser and I click on a link that read "Send Email", my Outlook email opens up. Is that a default? How do I set it up so that my gmail opens up instead?
