Previous Firefox version worked fine on this web site. Now when I click on links to certain departments within the store, get the popup asking which software to use to open aspx file. I have latest update of Java installed. Example problem links include spring outfits. Problem occurs both within this web site and when clicking on links within their promotional emails I receive. Could it be their problem instead of mine? All comments appreciated. Thanks, Donna

Oh my God I have spent hours on the phone with Dell who is incapable of helping with this problem Coldwater Creek is the same site that's causing problems for me too. I was guessing it is because the Microsoft Net Work Asst. was disabled with the upgrade to Firefox.

Thanks, Henchy, sounds like you're more technically adept and persistent than I have been. I wonder if Coldwater Creek knows about this problem?

I don't think it's a problem with coldwater creek - I've come across other sites (such as gpt.com.au ) that have the issue. I think the problem has something to do with the associations that FF has for file types. Options>Options>Applications has aspx there, but no option for FF to open it. But really it's just a HTML page. Those sites mentioned work fin in IE and on my Symbian browser, and worked fine with FF 3.6.15, so the prob is definitely FF 4.

The same problem has been posted to FF support question 801596. So we don't end up with too many threads on the same problem, subscribe to that thread for further information.

@PeterL777, I clicked on the link in your post referencing question 800265 and I get right back to your post. I don't know how to subscribe to that thread, would you please guide me? Thanks.

Whoops. There's about 5 posts on this topic, the one here shouldn't have been included. Looks like someone technical has responded at 801596 , and the problem is fixed for one website but not others. Have a look over there.
