How do I stop the blue background and highlight on text boxes in Google ?

When I'm on Google and click on the search box it quickly gets this blue background and when I type I can't see the text unless I highlight it. It's too difficult to use please help

This can be a problem with Comcast Constant Guard (Keystroke protection)
