Hi inkdan, I'm interested to know which steps have you already performed to change your homepage.
Have you tried changing it via "about:config"? If not, type about:config on the address bar and look for the browser.startup.homepage key. Double-click it and change the default about:page to any URL you like to make as a homepage.
Let us know what happened and we'll be glad to assist you more.
Thank you for using Firefox.
I went to "about:config" This is what it looks like: browser.startup.homepage;http://www.google.com/ there is also:browser.startup.homepage_override.buildID; and:browser.startup.page;1 It still will not let my start up page change. Thanks for your help.
It is possible that there is a problem with the files sessionstore.js and sessionstore.bak in the Firefox Profile Folder.
Delete the sessionstore.js [2] file and possible sessionstore-##.js [3] files with a number and sessionstore.bak in the Firefox Profile Folder.

Deleting sessionstore.js will cause App Tabs and Tab Groups and open and closed (undo) tabs to get lost, so you will have to create them again (make a note or bookmark them).

Start Firefox in Diagnose Firefox issues using Troubleshoot Mode to check if one of the extensions or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox (Tools) > Add-ons > Appearance/Themes).
- Don't make any changes on the Safe mode start window.

Your suggestion on deleting profile files helped. I have multiple profiles for each family member. Deleting the sesionstore files did not help...so I back-up everyones bookmarks then deleted firefox and re-instaled. All is good. I will try to do multiple profiles again and see if the Mozzilla start up page re-appears. Thanks so much for your help.
