Videos not playing
For the first time ever since using Firefox, beginning in just the past two days, I can't get videos to play.
Currently, videos do seem to be playing in YouTube.
Chosen solution
Apologize for the delay in reporting but the issue was resolved. Followed EdrickV's suggestion to disable hdwr acceleration. Since then 14.0.1 was released and I installed it. Think I tested the new version by re-enabling hdwr accel., thinking that the new version might have been designed in part to address the Flash video problem. Seems that vids were playing OK initially but evidently the problem reoccurred and I'm now running w/out hdwr accel. Anybody else experiencing this still? When will I be able to re-enable h.a.?

I uninstalled, FF14, installed the newest older version I could find, which was FF9, then upgraded it back to FF12 and stopped. Running with no problems.
I mean think about it, why should you have to go monkey around in your computer to get a newer version of any program to work.
The FF9 was the newest older version I could find, thats why I used FF(, but its fine, because you just upgrade it to 12, much easier then messing around with other things on your comp
You shouldn't... but most people do not have this problem. It may be a problem with either your computer or with flash itself.
You shouldn't???
That's your reply? Really? Really?
And the part you post .... ............................................."but most people do not have this problem. It may be a problem with either your computer or with flash itself. "
Have you not read the threads with so many people posting they are having issues? Never mind the many people who contacted me personally to help them out to fix their comps.
I mean you can do as so many have done, and delete your FF and get Google as your web browser.
At least people who have posted to help gave some good advice, but your post of you shouldn't, and the remainder of your post, well lets just say, people who like to post a few words to feel important should not post at all!
Some of the replies, are a little difficult for non tech people. So the solution I gave is pretty easy. No matter what, we know FF14 is not working properly with other programs. Once the bugs are fixed then it will, till then, its a band aid till FF14 is running right,

You do realize that millions of people use firefox and yes people do have this problem and it might be in the thousands. However it is still a rather small portion of the firefox user base.
I am not sure why you are mad at me for posting and telling you that it might not actually be a problem with firefox itself. Obviously if for me and many others it works, then you are probably pointing your finger in the wrong direction when you blame the newest firefox version instead of other programs that might be the actual cause.
LOL at you liking to post, who said I was mad, I like how you jump like a frog to accusations. If you don't have a problem good for you! But instead of your negativity and your desire to criticize others who posted to help, be constructive.
And how do you know how many thousands or what percentage of FF users are having issues?
Also FF users have decreased because how many switched to Google. So mister smarty, why are you so eager to defend FF?
Actually I really don't care why you doing whatever.
Keep jumping, away :)
From what I can tell, yessireebob's issue is solved, so there's no value in hijacking this thread with an argument that helps no-one. I'm going to lock this thread.
I think it's important to remember that this is a support forum. The point is to help yessireebob get his problem solved, so he can continue to the use the browser he wants to use without problems.
