How do I remove folders from Firefox email?

I have a lot of folder that I was storing emails in that are no longer significant. I know how to add folders, but I don't know how to eliminate them when they are no longer needed.

Firefox doesn't work with email messages directly, but you can use it on webmail sites (e.g., Yahoo, Gmail, Hotmail, Outlook Web App). Is the problem with one of those?

I have a Yahoo account. I guess my problem is with yahoo mail not with Firefox. It helps to ask the right question if you are more technologically savvy!

Can you help with this? I can't eliminate folders that I want to get rid of on my Yahoo Account.
