security exceptions

I'm using the chatzilla, since i can't access the default option of irc server I tried using the secure server ircs. The security exception message will always comes out. I thought that it was bothersome to always click the exception message, so I "tick" the box for permanently put a security exception to the ircs server. But when I tried to access the ircs server once again, after I've closed chatzilla I cannot access the server anymore nor any of the other server even when I'm using different port numbers. I look up the "view certificates" in the firefox "security" options, but the ircs exception is not on the list

I'm not familiar with how Chatzilla works. When I look in the FAQ, I don't see any reference to certificate exceptions.

If the certificate exception is nowhere to be found, you might need to clear all of the certificates by renaming the cert8.db file. If you want to try that:

Open your current Firefox settings (AKA Firefox profile) folder using

Help > Troubleshooting Information > "Show Folder" button

Leaving that window open, switch back to Firefox and Exit

Pause while Firefox finishes its cleanup, then rename cert8.db to something like cert8.old (if Windows does not show file extensions like .db, you can turn them on using the steps in this support article: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/865219)

Restart Firefox. You should get a fresh prompt for that server.

IMPORTANT: This may generate issues if you are using security software that filters your secure connections (e.g., ESET, BitDefender, perhaps others). You will need to reimport the certificate that enables Firefox to trust your security software, or you will get errors on all secure sites. Or you could turn off this feature in your security software and have it filter only your non-secure connections.

Maybe Chatzilla has its own certificate exception store? I think you may need to contact the author for more information on next steps.
