when I click on the search box say to a website it says "connecting" and is stuck there. If I click on the refresh button it takes you to the site

If I click on the refresh button it takes you to the site but if I do not click on the refresh button it never takes you to the website. I never had this problem before. I uninstalled Mozilla and re installed and it still does it.
