Ok then try to reset Firefox, this can fix many issues by restoring Firefox to its factory default state while saving your essential information.
Note: This will cause you to lose any Extensions and some Preferences.
- Open websites will not be saved in Firefox versions lower than 25.
To Reset Firefox do the following:
- Go to Firefox > Help > Troubleshooting Information.
- Click the "Reset Firefox" button.
- Firefox will close and reset. After Firefox is done, it will show a window with the information that is imported. Click Finish.
- Firefox will open with all factory defaults applied.
Further information can be found in the Refresh Firefox - reset add-ons and settings article.

Hello,
Some problems with Flash video playback can be resolved by disabling hardware acceleration in your Flash Player settings. (See this article for more information on using the Flash plugin in Firefox).
To disable hardware acceleration in Flash Player:
- Go to this Adobe Flash Player Help page.
- Right-click on the Flash Player logo on that page.
- Click on Settings in the context menu. The Adobe Flash Player Settings screen will open.
- Click on the icon at the bottom-left of the Adobe Flash Player Settings window to open the Display panel.
The image "fpSettings1.PNG" does not exist.
- Remove the check mark from Enable hardware acceleration.
- Click Close to close the Adobe Flash Player Settings Window.
- Restart Firefox.
This Flash Player Help - Display Settings page has more information on Flash Player hardware acceleration, if you're interested.
Does this solve the problem? Let us know.
I can't see any Flash player Logo - where should this be? Hence how can I click on settings?.
When I go to Applications Adobe Flash Player Install Manager is there and if I click on it - I get the option to uninstall. I have tried to install another version of Flash Player and it just sits on my Finder page even though iot says it has installed. Ehat on earth have they done - everything was working OK yesterday.

I have done that and still get the plug in error message and can't play videos
I don't think Flash player is installing properly. Is there a version that will load? I have tried all you have suggested - but I download Flash Player plug-in and try and install it - it says it is complete but the 'install Adobe Flash Player" is still shown on the finder menu page. I still get the error message as soon as I open Firefox. This is becoming more than a joke. Is there anyone I can contact at Adobe?

Hooray - Abode admit they messed up and the last update did not work and anyone else suffered from - "Adobe Plug-in has crashed" there is a work around published on their web site. I will be very wary about updating it again. Thanks for you help so far.

Nick, if you don't mind can you post the link here so any one else having the same issue can look at it.
Thank you
this is a copy from the Adobe site
We are aware that Macs created between 2006 and 2007 are currently running into problems using the latest release of Flash Player (version 13). We apologize for the inconvenience that this is causing. We are actively investigating the cause and hope to have a full solution to you shortly. In the meantime, please follow this two step procedure which will revert you back to version 12.
Download and run our uninstaller: http://fpdownload.macromedia.com/get/flashplayer/current/support/unins tall_flash_player_osx.dmg
Download and run the version 12 installer from: http://fpdownload.macromedia.com/get/flashplayer/current/licensing/mac /install_flash_player_12_osx.dmg
The obvious question to ask is why didn't they test it before rolling out version 13.
