Can I import MH-style directories/contents into Thunderbird 24.0?

I have been using claws-mail version 3.9.3-2+b1 on Debian GNU/Linux (jessie) [amd64] which stores messages in local MH-style directories/folders: that is, one file for each message.

I can export those directory contents as MBOX-style files. (1) Can Thunderbird import the MH-style directories? (2) Can Thunderbird import the MBOX-style files?

Not sure what you mean, but good luck anyway.

Thunderbird uses the mbox format as well. The easiest way to import mbox files is using this add-on.

Not sure what 'MH-style' means.

I have given up using Thunderbird because the editor insists on on-the-fly formatting. I have been unable to switch this off. So, I'll try another email prog.
