Hello

When attempting to pay for online purchases the new firefox upgrade (Mac 133.0.3) will not redirect from the merchant to the payment site. Yesterday, before the upgrade, was no problem making credit card purchases online; now, nothing. Please advise on how to set up new firefox version to allow redirect to payment websites from merchant sites.

Thank you.

It must be said that the second field is added after the creation of the form.

Whit Chrome and Edge the form is showed correctly. At thislink the behavior can be seen. Thanks

For the last several days, YouTube has been increasingly unusable. The most obvious hindrance is when playing/pausing a video, or attempting to adjust volume using the native control overlay on any video. It lags substantially, my cursor often disappearing entirely & attempting to pause or resume playback takes several seconds.

Using Firefox's task manager, YouTube is monopolizing roughly 2-3 GB of RAM when playback is paused, and CPU consumption will range from 0-95% - when playing a video/utilizing the tab, it tends to stay reliably closer to 50-100%. I have also run Firefox Profiler while resuming and pausing a video, which is here: Profiler Data. I am not particularly literate with this kind of data though, so I have no comment on its contents.

My extensions, by comparison, average roughly 500 MB and no more than 1% CPU utilization at any given time. I do use uBlock Origin, as well as Tab Session Manager, cookies.txt, Honey, Fakespot, Ruffle, and TWP.

I am sure this is far more of a YouTube problem than a Firefox problem, but are there solutions available? I have seen discussions on other platforms regarding the issue, but it seems like solutions are in short supply - telling YouTube to bias in favor of AV1/VP9 had no impact, and I'm hesitant to download more extensions to attempt to bandaid the issue.

Thank you :)

I use FF on desktop. Recently, I've run into a problem. My desktop browser will not load any pages... except Youtube. Youtube loads just fine, I can open a video or browse channels or community pages normally. I have fully reset my browser, reinstalled it, and disabled extensions. Other browsers on my PC will work normally. I have very few extensions: Sponsorblock for Youtube, uBlock Origin, and Facebook Container, that's it. I am not using a proxy or VPN. Troubleshoot mode did not fix the issue. I'm not the most tech savvy, so I apologize if I missed anything here.

Any insight is appreciated. Thanks!

Firefox seems to run slow. I rebooted my new Windows 11 computer (Dell Inspiron 16, Intel Core 11), opened up Task Manager, then opened Firefox. I have one browser page open with one Firefox tab, yet the Task Manager is appearing to tell me there are 9 Firefox "pages" (?) open; see attached image. What is this? Why is this? Is it slowing performance? I have run Firefox for several years and would like to keep doing so; just not sure I can deal with the slow performance. Thank you for your consideration & assistance.

This is behind the scenes of course with me doing nothing to initiate contact. I previously contacted MB support about such warnings and they told me to uninstall two extensions--Video Download Helper and AddtoAny. I've used both for a long time, but uninstalling them did fix that particular problem wherein the browser kept trying to connect to techalert.com, a site that is (through research) apparently for shareware? I don't recall ever being on it. But that's stopped.

But there was another. See jpg attachment. This is pretty much every day that I'm being told FF is trying to connect to something that is offering up a Trojan--apparently through Instagram??? That also makes little sense.

Most recently, I have two MORE such attempts to connect in the background, this time with full IP addresses. Both of those seem to be compromised sites in Pakistan according to a little research I did. (I have no dealings with Pakistan.) Why these two latest have full IP addresses and the others (see image) only deal with an Instagram URL, have no idea.

So, I contacted MB support again. They said it was not a false positive and they couldn't be sure what was doing this, but "something on firefox is reaching out to the IP address." At first they suggested returning FF to a default state. I'm reluctant to do that considering how much time spent getting it where I want it. So, now, they suggest turning off extensions one-by-one. That's a better idea, but certainly labor intensive and something that may take awhile.

So before I undertake this potentially time consuming task, does anyone here have some idea of what's happening?

P.s. scans came up clean of my system, no trojans, malware detected.

The Avast Password Manager was deleted from task bar about 5 days ago or so-- 12/11/24. Why would Firefox do that and inconvenience its customers? It needs to be restored immediately and nowhere to find help on this matter. Avast is aware of the problem and so is Firefox but we, the customers, have no solution that is available. This encourages us to use Chrome instead. Is there a solution? Please advise.

When playing any audio on Firefox it plays only through the front center channel. Moreover, the right channel is completely mute (tested using youtube videos and https://www2.iis.fraunhofer.de/AAC/multichannel.html). Everything works correctly on Chrome and Edge

I've noticed sometimes the audio does work correctly, but I've no idea why that is.

I'm listening on HyperX Cloud 2 headphones, the virtual 7.1 setting doesn't change anything when listening on firefox, works correctly on Chrome and Edge.

Hi, on certain websites, like Steam Store and IMDB (for video game or movie/tv trailers), when I play a video but then switch tabs or minimize etc. the video immediately pauses itself, on other websites however like YouTube for example, this isn't the case and the video continues to play in the background, which is how I want it to behave for the websites mentioned above as well.

So I just wanted to ask if this is a setting imposed by the website itself, like Steam, or if it comes from the browser or maybe video player software or windows side etc. and I can change it by changing some settings or something, or is this something I can't do anything about and just have to accept as it is by unbypassable design of the website?

Thanks for any help or info.
