Well, I turned on several tabs, and when I close all the tabs, I intended to do that, I clicked QUIT when Firefox ask me if I really want to close them. But the next time I turn on Firefox (even after I've shutdown my computer for 2 or 3 days) it keeps saying that "Well, this is embarassing..." and ask me if I want to restore them, instead of my homepage. I thought this will just happen once, but it happens every time! It's not a crash or Firefox shutdown my tabs, I shut them down myself, so why Firefox keeps asking me to restore them? Sometimes I just open the Google webpage and then close, it still ask me to restore. Can someone help me fix this?

P.s: I've already tried uninstall it, download the newest version and install it, but it doesn't work.

You're welcome.

Hmm, my second post seems to have landed in the wrong thread (so where should it have been?)

You can check for problems with the sessionstore.js and sessionstore.bak files in the Firefox profile folder that store session data.

Rename (or delete) the sessionstore.js file and possible sessionstore-##.js files with a number and sessionstore.bak in the Firefox profile folder.

Deleting sessionstore.js will cause App Tabs and Tab Groups and open and closed (undo) tabs to get lost and you will have to recreate them (make a note or bookmark them if possible).

You can check browser.sessionstore.* prefs including browser.sessionstore.resume_from_crash on the about:config page and reset browser.sessionstore prefs that are user set (bold) via the right-click context menu to the default value to make sure that Session Restore is enabled and working properly.

Edit: this next reply should probably have been in another thread, so ignore it here.

Make sure that you haven't enabled a High Contrast theme in the Windows/Mac Accessibility settings.

Make sure that you allow pages to choose their own colors.

  • Tools > Options > Content : Fonts & Colors > Colors : [X] "Allow pages to choose their own colors, instead of my selections above"

Note that these settings affect background images.
